A Design Culture Journal

“The Radical Designist”, is an on-line referred journal with a double-blinded reviewing system that is devoted to the publication of Design and Material Culture papers.

For the 1^st two launching years, ThRAD was part of a research project, funded by FCT, Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, about Drawing and the Portuguese Visual Culture – from the 1950's to the 1990's.

Now is part off a research project, funded by FCT and cofunded by COMPETE, “Design in Portugal (1960-1974): the actions, actors and repercussions of the Art, Industrial Architecture and Industrial Design Nuclei of the National Institute of Industrial Research (I.N.I.I.).”
